I
am currently at Derby University studying for a Degree in Illustration.
Outside of University, I love nothing more than drawing. I like
to draw my family, friends and home, as well as my three dogs:
Molly, Milly and Crosby.
I have always been both a Boxer dog lover and an art lover and
so from a young age I gained delight in combining the two. My
passion for Boxers stems from my upbringing, as a family we
breed Boxer dogs and so I found their charm irresistible and
although each one has there own charisma all share certain traits.
It is these, which I like to capture in my drawings. The key
feature to me of a boxer is their eyes; it is here where you
can sense their feelings most from that sparkle, when they are
excited and are having a puppyish mad moment, when they beckon
you to ‘come and play’ to those sad warm eyes, which
offer you loyalty and support when they sense you’re feeling
down.
As
I have grown up, my passion for these animals has also grown.
I feel glad that I have shared my life so far with a bunch of
nutty dogs and I look forward to spending my future with them.
